I have always been drawn to the complexity of orofacial pain and TMJ disorders, particularly caring for patients who have often spent years feeling unheard, discouraged, or without clear answers. That interest led me to pursue advanced education in orofacial pain at UCLA, where I gained a deeper understanding of both the complexity of these conditions and the importance of approaching each patient with clarity, empathy, and persistence.
Through my work with TMJ patients, I began to recognize the strong connection between chronic pain and sleep-disordered breathing, which inspired me to pursue further training in dental sleep medicine. This area of care became especially personal when my own mother suffered from severe, previously undiagnosed sleep apnea.
I believe TMJ disorders, orofacial pain, and sleep-related breathing disorders are influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors. Because of that, my approach is centered on compassionate, whole-person care, taking the time to understand each patient’s symptoms, experiences, concerns, and goals rather than simply treating a diagnosis.
Clinical excellence and integrity are equally important to me. I am committed to thoughtful diagnosis, evidence-based treatment, and continued education, with every recommendation guided by what I believe is truly in the patient’s best interest.
Above all, I believe in walking alongside my patients throughout their healing journey. These conditions can be complicated, and progress does not always happen overnight. Through clear communication, partnership, and ongoing support, my goal is to help patients feel heard and understood while working toward meaningful relief, restorative sleep, and a renewed quality of life.
Helping patients find answers after they may have struggled for years has become more than my professional focus; it is a calling.
I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM), certified in Dental Acupuncture, and a member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP).
